Diagnosis – Normal skin

Think you have normal skin? Follow our steps to find your skin type:

1. Tactile examination : skin neither thin nor thick; smooth and plump to the touch,

2. Visual examination : even, luminous complexion; pores rather regular and tight; low tendency to minor annoyances.

3. Feeling / sensation : comfort and suppleness,

4. Sources of stress : all types of stress related to environment and lifestyle.

Diagnosis – Oily skin

Think you have oily skin ? Follow our steps to find out your skin type:

1. Tactile examination : thick skin; oily, sticky and firm to the touch,

2. Visual examination : shiny, dull complexion; pores >> rather visible and dilated; small annoyances, blackheads, pimples, imperfections,

3. Feeling / sensation : no particular sensitivity,

4. Sources of stress : rich diet, pollution, stress, use of unsuitable cosmetics (too rich or stripping, frequent exfoliation, etc.) * T-zone or median: chin, nose, forehead

Diagnosis – Dry skin

Think you have dry skin ? True dry skin is very rare, so make sure your skin has most of the characteristics below :

1. Visual examination : fair complexion with a dulling tendency, potential redness; rather tight, invisible pores; low tendency to minor annoyances, but this can happen. If your skin is dry but +/- oily on the T-zone, you have combination skin.

2. Tactile examination : fine to very fine skin, rough and rough, potential patches, scaling, eczema and urticaria, contact allergies.

3. Feeling : discomfort, tightness all over the face, itching, lack of suppleness,

4. Sources of stress : extreme temperatures and climates, air conditioning and heating, seasonal changes, hot water, scouring foaming products.

Diagnosis – Combination skin

Think you have combination skin? Follow our steps to find out your skin type:

1. Visual examination : shiny, dull complexion on the T* zone, matte elsewhere; pores rather dilated on the T* zone and rather tight on the rest of the face; small annoyances, blackheads, pimples on the median zone,

2. Tactile examination : thick on the T-zone and thin elsewhere; to the touch, oily on the T-zone and with a rough, dry tendency on the cheeks & cheekbones,

3. Feeling : possible discomfort and localized tightness (cheeks/cheekbones),

4. Sources of stress : see oily and dry skin.

Diagnosis – Sensitive skin

Do you think you have sensitive skin ? Skin that reddens easily at different temperatures does not fall into this sensitivity category. Follow our steps to find out your skin type :

1. Tactile examination : skin is often dry and rough,

2. Visual examination : permanent and localized redness (cheeks, nose), blotches, peeling, dull complexion; pores +/- tight, depending on skin type,

3. Feeling / sensation : discomfort, overheating, tightness, sensitivity to all types of external aggression,

4. Sources of stress : all types of external and internal aggression (dry skin type).

Diagnosis – Dehydrated skin

Think you have dehydrated skin ? Follow our steps to find your skin type :

1. Tactile examination : localized areas of dryness, more or less rough skin,

2. Visual examination : presence of fine lines at the corners of the eyes, often the case with dry skin, dull complexion; pores +/- tight, depending on skin type,

3. Feeling : sensation of discomfort, temporary and localized tightness, possibility of small pimples,

4. Sources of stress : climatic stress: sun, extreme temperatures and climates.

Diagnosis – Very dehydrated, tired and stressed skin

Do you think you have very dehydrated, tired or stressed skin ? Follow our steps to find your skin type :

1. Tactile examination/feeling : devitalized, particularly dehydrated and potentially dry skin,

2. Visual examination : fine lines at the corners of the eyes, signs of fatigue +/- present (dark circles, puffiness), possible redness, grayish complexion, slackening of tissues; pores generally visible, depending on skin type,

3. Feeling : discomfort & tightness, lack of tone, suppleness and comfort,

4. Sources of stress : all types of aggression and contact. Recurring psychological stress, sun, extreme temperatures and climates, pollution, tobacco, alcohol…

Diagnosis – Mature skin

Think you have mature skin ? Follow our steps to find your skin type :

1. Tactile examination/feeling : rather fine, dry, rough skin

2. Visual examination : presence of wrinkles and fine lines, possible redness (cheeks and nose) and pigmentation spots, sagging oval and facial features,

3. Feeling : dryness and tightness, lack of elasticity and comfort, possible pimples,

4. Sources of stress : all types of environmental and lifestyle stress + hormonal decline.
